Uplifting Stories on Sharon
The new talk show of Sharon dishes the viewers interesting stories about Filipinos, and its everyday struggle to provide for its family and have a good life. Inspiring stories abound the show. The format of the show is somewhat new for viewers because it does not tackle on showbiz controversies and tabloid stories, which makes it entertaining at the same time refreshing.
It is disappointing on my part that such wonderful show did not catch the viewers' interest. The show is way below in ratings compared to its competitor show over at GMA7, despite the fact that Sharon has more informational value than the videoke challenge of the rival show. Could it be because Filipinos are still too shallow for such new and innovative infotainment program?
The episode that I watched tackled on the issues of (half) brotherhood and (half) sisterhood--the relationship of half-brother and half-sisters. It delved into the advantages and disadvantages of the relationship and the adjustments made to make it work. The guest for this episode are TJ and Borgy Manotoc, and Jackie Forster and Mickey Ferriols.
