Grand Finale Week for Majika

FOLLOWING a string of revelations and the death of important characters, Majika - one of GMA Network's most-watched telefantasyas - enters its finale week with a gripping battle between good and evil. In its finale week, starting today (September 25), Majika teems with explosive magic and action, along with the stirring drama of self-sacrifice made in the name of love.

Since Majika premiered in March this year, it drew viewers to the magical world of Saladin and hooked them to the compelling saga of Sabina (Angel Locsin) and Argo (Dennis Trillo), along with the other colorful characters that made the fantasy series worth watching night after night.

They followed the young Sabina's quest to reach Saladin to rescue her family who were abduc-ted by magical creatures from the mysterious world, swooned over the blossoming love story between her and Argo, felt equally distressed by the evil schemes of the powerful salamangka Juno (Katrina Halili) to ruin Sabina's life, grieved over the loss of Sabina's loved ones, and kept hoping for Sabina to withstand the numerous perils that came her way.

Majika also surprised viewers with several twists and revelations in its intricately woven story. The Pater or the council of elder salamangkas that was supposed to uphold the peace and welfare of Saladin turned out to be a devious tyranny controlled by the ruthlessly powerful Balkan (Eddie Gutierrez).

On the other hand, Markadan (Eddie Garcia), the former leader of Saladin who was imprisoned in a mystical black lake for supposedly promulgating black magic, was actually the good Salamangka who was overpowered by the evil Balkan.

Sabina and Argo's relationship also endured countless trials, among which was the shattering revelation that they were not merely blood relatives but siblings. Argo was believed to be the missing child of Eloida (Jean Garcia), who killed Balkan and took over the leadership of the Arkapol, Saladin's seat of power. But it turns out that it is Sabina, not Argo, who is Eloida's missing child. Sabina did not believe and did not want to accept this revelation because Eloida had turned into a hateful salamangka who used her powers to make others succumb to her will. And even after Eloida's death, Sabina still refused to accept the detestable woman as her mother.

With Eloida's death, Juno has overtaken the leadership of the Arkapol and has turned herself into the most powerful Salamangka by absorbing all the powers from the book of extraordinary magic as well as the magical powers of almost all the salamangkas in Saladin. Juno has turned into an all-powerful and formidable nemesis, and it's only up to Sabina and Argo to defeat her and save Saladin and its people.

In this ultimate battle against the dark force tormenting the entire world of Saladin, Sabina and Argo must make a heart-wrenching sacrifice in exchange of Saladin's freedom. All this will happen in Majika's finale week, weeknights from September 25 to 29, after Captain Barbell on GMA Network's top-rating primetime Telebabad block.
