Kapamilya Deal or No Deal (Part I)

I made it a point to watch the premier telecast of Kapamilya Deal or No Deal because I was intrigued by the publicity that ABS-CBN has been doing for the show. I also had an idea about the show because it has been a constant top-rater in its timeslot over at NBC in the US.

When I finally watched the first telecast, I was impressed by the set and the mechanics of the show. The set was fabuluous at talagang pinaggastahan. The mechanics of the show is different from the usual gameshows that we currently have on local television--although it is a distant relative of Pera o Bayong and Laban o Bawi.

The first celebrity contestant is May Rivera. She got P30,000 when she decided to cling on until the last maleta. The show was made more interesting from Kapamilyas of the player who also help in deciding which cases to open.

Overall, I think the show is entertaining to a certain degree. Mas maganda siguro kung hindi nalang ginawang daily ng ABS-CBN ang show para hindi madaling magsawa ang mga tao. Personally, nakakasawa rin ang paulit-ulit na formula ng Kapamilya Deal or No Deal. I just hope na magiging competitive ito with its rival, ang Captain Barbell.
