Meet the First Day High Teens

Kilalanin n'yo kina Maja Salvador, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Jason Abalos at Geoff Eigemann kung sino kayo noong First Day High n'yo sa college.

Kayo ba si Maja, considered as the Sosy Pre, dahil kung dumating sa iskul, akala mo may sasalihang fashion show?

She wears the latest and most fashionable get-up, complimented by a bag na branded and a pair of shoes na 'di n'yo gugustuhing malaman kung magkano dahil cannot afford kayo.

Pero may magandang ugali si Maja as the Sosy Pre. She is friendly and can get along well with her classmates.

O, baka type n'yong ihilera ang sarili kay Kim, the brainy type. She seems to have all the answers to all the questions her professor asks. Pero siya rin 'yong wala na yatang ibang pinagkakainteresan kung hindi books, books at books pa rin!

Gerald, meanwhile, is the toast of the campus. His charm and appeal make both boys and girls go gaga. He is the pambato ng kanilang iskul sa larong basketball.

Geoff is the campus rebel. In contrast to him si Jason, who is the campus' nice guy. Kaya lang, mahiyain si Jason at 'di marunong manligaw.

O, sagot na. Sino kayo sa limang bagets?

Now meet the director of the movie, Mario Cornejo. Thirty years old pa lang si Mario. It was he who co-produced, co-wrote, directed and also won an Urian nomination for the digital movie, Bigtime, which won best screenplay in the last Cinemalaya International Film Festival.

Before Bigtime, however, nakilala si Direk Mario bilang isang commercial director. He also did some tv projects with ABS-CBN and other independent producers.

He is a Communication Arts graduate of De La Salle University and has started taking his Master's degree in Creative Writing sa UP.

Nag-train din siya sa award-winning cinematographer na si Manolo Abaya.

Hindi ipinagkakaila ni Direk Mario na nabaguhan siya sa pagdidirek ng isang mainstream movie. With Bigtime raw, he had but a few people working with him.

Pero dito sa First Day High, more than a hundred ang kanyang katrabaho, kabilang na ang lead stars na sina Maja, Geoff, Jason, Gerald at Kim, whom he describedp2 as "the sweetest kids I've ever worked with."

First Day High is the title of the chart-busting hit song ng Kamikazee band. It is inspired by five teens who typify the five characters that stand out in campuses anywhere in the country.
