Keanna on Being a Mistress

KEANNA Reeves is ecstatic to be in the company of such respected stars as Eddie Garcia and Gloria Romero in Seiko Films' I Wanna Be Happy.

"Sabi ko nga when I won sa Pinoy Big Brother, I'm reborn," she says. "Before this, I made two sexy movies that were never shown, one of it with Paquito Diaz before he got sick. Kaya bale first movie ko talaga itong I Wanna Be Happy. I want to thank Robbie Tan for getting me to play Tito Eddie's mistress. Imagine, malalaking artista ang kasama ko rito at ang babait nila sa akin. They never made me feel na 'Hoy, escort girl ka lang, 'no?' Pati direktor namin, si Joey Reyes, ang saya kasama. Tawanan kami nang tawanan sa set.

"After this, I'm doing movies with Viva at Regal, na ang titles are Reyna and Beauty. Then I'll do a digital film, Raket Ni Nanay, where I'll play a mom na gagawin lahat ng raket for her kids. Sa ABS-CBN, I'm taping a new sitcom, Aalog-Alog, with Pokwang, John Prats and Zanjoe Marudo."

Will she still go sexy in films?

"Ayoko na. Nabigyan na ako ng chance na maging disente, di, magpapakadisente na ako."

She didn't show up at the PBB Big Reunion and was late in some appointments. Has she become a swellhead?

"No. About PBB, biglaan 'yung reunion. I can't back out sa Bohol show ko na one month ago ko pa pinirmahan ang contract. Baka mademanda ako. I admit na-late ako sa ibang appointments ko, kasi hindi ako nagising agad. My manager Boy Abunda scolded me, so mas punctual na ako ngayon."

Has she moved to the new condo she won from PBB?

"Hindi. Ang layo kasi, sa Valenzuela. But when I went there, nagulat ako. The owner, Delfin Lee, made it fully furnished, kasi natuwa raw siya sa akin. Gusto ko sanang ibenta, pero nahihiya ako, kasi ang bait niya sa akin. I'm now renting another condo sa Proj. 6 [Quezon City], na mas malapit sa ABS."

Rustom Padilla remains her best friend.

"When I'm not doing anything, we go out together o nandoon kami sa condo niya sa Makati, kuwentuhan lang. Sana nga, we'll be given the chance to work together. Gusto ko ring mabigyan ng chance to do drama, kasi puro comedy ang projects ko. I want to show I can be a serious actress. Bago ako sumali sa PBB, papunta na sana ako ng Japan. 'Buti na lang nakapasa ako sa PBB and it really turned my life around. At masaya akong ang first project ko after winning is I Wanna Be Happy, na talagang magpapasaya sa viewers, kasi it's a very entertaining family movie."
