Rules and Regulations
Qualification for Acceptance
A prospective student must have the following minimum qualifications:
- sound mind and sound body, willing to undergo the program at a location away from family and home country
- an adult, 18 years old and above
- must have undertaken any schooling in the home country (regardless of level)
Registration
Use the online registration form for the application. As soon as the application is received by ESL Edu-Tourism Institute, a confirmation email containing payment instructions as well as other information with regards to the travel, study and accommodations will be included.
If possible register early to be accommodated to the next curriculum and program cycle.
Confirmation and Processing
After receiving the application and the fees, the confirmation and processing begins. Correspondence between ESL Edu-Tourism Institute and the student will done to ensure understanding on matters involving the processing of application.
Payments on tuition and accommodations shall be settled before your arrival at ESL Edu-Tourism Institute.
Starting the Program
You have to arrive in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines at least one (1) day before your first day of class. The minimum registration is 8 weeks.
Refund Policy
To cancel your application, a letter must be written addressed to the institute stating the reasons for the cancellation before the first day of class. The application fee is non-refundable.
When the application is cancelled at least 21 days before your approved start of program, a full refund of all the tuition and accommodation fees that you have paid is to be expected.
When the application is cancelled between 3 to 14 days before your approved start of program, a full refund of your tuition and two weeks worth of accommodation fee is to be expected.
After arriving at ESL Edu-Tourism Institute, and you are expelled from the institute or you want to cancel the rest of your classes, you have to write a letter to institute stating valid reason(s) in order to get a refund.
If you cancel while you are already taking up classes at ESL Edu-Tourism Institute, these are the refund rates:
- If you have only attended 25% or less of your scheduled classes - 50% of the tuition and accommodation fees shall be refunded.
- If you have already attended more than 25% of your scheduled classes - no more refund shall be given on the tuition and accommodation.
- If at any time during your stay at CPILS, you or any member of your family gets sick and you have to cancel the rest of your classes, you shall get a refund of 50% of the cost of your remaining classes.
Note:
To avail of the refund in this case, a medical certificate coming from your doctor is needed.
If at any time during your classes a warning is given for any offense, this does not make a valid reason for requesting a refund.
All refunds will be given within 30 days by ESL Edu-Tourism Institute.
Delayed Arrival or No Show
If you come later than the expected date of arrival, there is no refund or make up classes.
If you come one week after your expected date of arrival, 2 weeks of tuition and accommodation fees will be deducted.
If you do not attend your class at all, no refund is to be expected.
Extension of Stay
You may request for an extension of stay from the institute’s authorities two (2) weeks before the end of the program.
Extra Service
You have to pay an additional fees for institute trips, medical expenses, weekend activities, phone bills, and room changes.
Changes of Fees Charged
ESL Edu-Tourism Institute reserves the right to change the fees it charges at any time because of changes in the exchange rate, tax increases or government regulation changes.
Program Change
ESL Edu-Tourism Institute has the right to change the program, curriculum and the first day of class at any time whenever necessary.
Certificate of Completion
A certificate of completion shall be provided by the institute to students who have complied with the program.
