Description:
The English Language is the fundamental building block of effective communication. It's wide usage has been bridging local, national, and international relations. It also plays a vital role in economic progression and technological advancement. Amidst it's necessity, other nations have failed to integrate the learning of the English Language in their academic curriculum.
In response to the call for English Literacy, this program focuses on the important aspects of effective communication through the English Language. Trainees will be exposed to the fundamentals of English such as Phonetics, Grammar, Speech and Writing. Activities and exercises will be given to further enhance and to test their learning both in theory and in application.
Objectives:
1) To be able to learn how to speak the English Language.
2) To be able to use English as a secondary language.
3) To be able to effectively communicate both in written and in conversational English.
Duration: 168 hours (8 weeks)

Schedule: M-Th 8:00 am -11:00 am ; 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Curriculum Outline:
Basic Skills Training designed to enable an individual to acquire fundamental skills such as writing, reading, conversing and listening.
Phonetics and Pronunciation Focus will be given to the familiarization of the fundamental tools in learning how to speak English such as Letters of the Alphabets and their sound.
Reading and Comprehension Series of strategic activities to enhance the reading & comprehension capacity of an individual. Focus will be on correct pausing & pronunciation.
Conversations and Dialogues A training focused on the etiquettes, rules and guidelines of effective conversations & dialogues to practice the speaking ability of an individual.
Grammar and Vocabulary Input on the basic sentence patterns, correct usage of words, parts of speech, vocabulary building and arrangement of words in a sentence.

Courses start every second and fourth Friday of each month. Course duration is from 8 to 24 weeks.
