Sixth Nomination Night (Part II)

The sixth Pinoy Dream Academy nomination night was a bit of a surprise for the scholars. After a gala night that bid a tearful goodbye to scholar RJ, to a Sunday that greeted Joan with a tearful reunion with her mom, it was hard to believe that probation night would leave the students, and viewers, stupefied.

Life hits you when you least expect it, it turns out. Yeng, who shed more than a few tears after her special friend RJ's expulsion last Saturday, logged a more than worthy performance during gala night; and with a score of 9.5, she was named the star scholar for the week.

On the contrary, Rosita was the first to be put on the probationary list this week. With a score of 4.66, she now has the lowest average score among the scholars. The reason? Judge Nanette Inventor was quick to point out: "Kulang ka sa kinakailangang rhythm ng kanta… di ka nakasabay sa agos."

Michelle and Kristoff scored 6.5 and 4.83, respectively, putting them on probation once again. Judge Kitchy Molina claimed that Michelle had a tendency to shout out the notes rather than sing it, while comments were bleak for Kristoff as well: "Nao-overwhelm ka ng kaba." Another nomination, and Kristoff will be expelled automatically.

Last on the hitlist was class president Chad, who scored a 7. Judge Jimmy Antiporda was quick to point out that, simply, "Hindi bagay sayo ang kanta… kailangang mong linisin ang mga falsetto mo." Chad took his first ever nomination in stride, claiming: "It's my turn to prove myself that I belong inside the house."
