Seventh Nomination Night (Part I)

After a night that sent Kristoff home due to technicalities and along with a forthcoming midterm exam where the lowest score merits a nomination, the students were more nervous than usual; especially Michelle, wherein another nomination would put her in Kristoff's unstable state last week. She got nothing but praise for her performance last Saturday, enough to put her spirits up.

Sadly it turned out to be quite the opposite. Michelle was put on probation for the fourth time with a score of 6.9, the lowest this week. Judge Noel Trinidad noted practice "para mawala ang nasal quality," but also noted her improvement. Nevertheless Michelle tethers dangerously along the edge, meaning a low score this coming Saturday, or a this week's midterms, automatically expels her from the Academy.

Joining her is former star scholar Yvan, who with a 7.2 grade gives him his second nomination. Judge Eugene Villaluz's comment that the performance was ‘too ordinary' led him to say: "Lahat po ng energy binigay ko… hindi ko po alam."

Iya, with a 7.6 score gives her a second demerit, and Irish, whose 7.3 gets her nominated for the first time ("You've been waiting for this since day one," said Headmaster Jim), rounds out the seventh batch of nominees. The probationary scholars, however, were given a little confidence booster; an audio clip of their friends and family cheering them on left the four, especially Irish, in tears.
