About Ram Felix Rengel, Jr.

Ram Felix Rengel, Jr. is 26 years old, a graduate of the University of San Carlos in Cebu City with the degree, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2000 where he graduated top of his class as Magna Cum Laude. In 2004, he completed his Master in Business Administration subjects, and is now finishing his thesis.

Ram, as he is fondly called by his family and friends, was born in New Escalante, Negros Occidental on March 24, 1979. He is the youngest in a brood of three. In time for his elementary education, Ram was transferred to Sta. Cruz, Calape, Bohol where he lived with his father until his elementary graduation in 1992. From 1992 to 1996, during his high school life, he was housed near his school (Divine Word College of Tagbilaran, High School Department) in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. Deciding to take up Computer Science at the University of San Carlos, Ram again traveled, this time to Cebu City for his university education.

Graduating top of his class, Ram easily landed a job at an international company (AccountMate Philippines, Inc.) based in Mandaue City in Cebu. While at AccountMate, Ram was responsible for the daily operation of the company's website and web services. During his three-year stint with AccountMate, Ram was sent to its worldwide headquarters in Novato City, California, USA twice--in 2001 and 2003.

It was also during these times at AccountMate that Ram met his wife, Ruthie Ramasola, and got married in early 2001. Later that year, they were blessed with a bouncing baby boy named Rafael Antoine-Matthieu.

Ram is very entrepreneurial in nature. His main reason why he took a job after graduation from the university is to immerse himself before taking the challenge of running his own business. He wanted to learn first hand the rules of the games in doing business by observing the multinational company he was connected in the years 2001 to 2004. Indeed, in early 2004, Ram and his wife took a plunge in opening a business in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. Very young and dynamic, the couple took a route less treaded and opened Bohol's first and only spa, sauna and massage sanctuary (Le Spa Massage). The spa was first located at the VMS Building along CPG North Avenue in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

After a year of trailblazing business, and various opportunities in between, Ram and Ruthie took another plunge into the business world. This time, with the help of people around them, the couple ventured into the real estate business and developed Bohol's first boutique commercial complex (The Courtyard). The complex, which now hosts an array of business establishment, is a place for the upbeat lifestyle of today's youth. It may be smaller compared to Bohol's existing business complexes, but The Courtyard has grown to be known as the hippest and the most-happening place in this part of the city. Seeing the need for better facilities and equipments, Ram and Ruthie have also decided to transfer Le Spa Massage inside The Courtyard. With Le Spa Massage inside the complex, it now has the most modern spa, sauna and massage facilities and equipments in Bohol.

As if all these were not enough, Ram and Ruthie also came up with Bohol's most modern and state-of-the-art fitness center (Le Spa Gym). The fitness boasts as the only fully-airconditioned center in the province with the most modern and newest facilities and equipments.

Ram, which has put aside for a time his passion for technology because of developments in his other business, is now finding the time to excel in this field. Powered by a strong theoretical foundation earned from his university study, and equipped with his experience at AccountMate, Ram is positioning himself in the evolving technology landscape. Currently he is developing various technology-related projects. Top in the list is a consultancy and service-oriented venture called WebScout. WebScout is a technical and web services company that helps individual and entities develop strategies in this technology-laden business arena. Ram is also venturing into the online job seeker/employer matching service through JobMatch International, and the online realty brokerage service through E-Realtor.

A lot of projects are still in the pipeline for Ram. The only thing certain about him is his ability to dream big and slowly make his dreams happen. With his passion and dedication to his work, the support and love of his wife and kid, and the outpouring of blessing from God, there is no doubt that more can be expected from this man.
